On February 23, 2019, Nicolas Maduro’s militias started one of the harshest repressive waves against the people of villages near the border between Venezuela and Brazil. This was the response to the protests of the closures of their borders and the impediment of the influx of aid to the population brought to its knees by the serious economic and social crisis. A story that further fueled the exodus from Venezuela, until the beginning of the pandemic about 500 Venezuelans fled to Brazil every day in search of a better life. The movie narrates this journey of hope for the new Latin American refugees, who often left the capital, Caracas, for the south of Brazil. A dramatic escape of seven thousand kilometers.
