Wine lover’s course

Do you love to drink wine but not sure how to pair the right one with your meal? Curious about the differences between Tuscan and Sicilian wines?

The “Wine Lover’s Course” is a jump-start 5 week course that will introduce you to the diversity of the vineyards, wines, Italian culture and more. So take a seat and start cruising with Carmelo Messina and Laura Marino through the geography and the history of Italy, its terroir as well as what to look for in a glass of wine and how to describe it.

Classes start Thursday, September 12th 2019 at 6 pm and run for 5 weeks

Classes include a wine tasting.

Lesson 1: History of wines, Italian wines overview, wine making and how to taste wine

Lesson 2: Wines of Tuscany

Lesson 3: Wines of Veneto

Lesson 4: Wines of Sicily

Lesson 5: Wines of Piedmont, food and wine pairing.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Carmelo Messina is a professionally qualified sommelier of the Italian Sommelier Association, with an additional master in professional wine-tasting. He has been working for over 20 years in the Hospitality and Wine Distribution between Italy, England and US. In Las Vegas he worked for pluri- awarded wine list restaurant Valentino at the Venetian with over 2,000 wines selections before moving to wine sales and education for major distributors.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The CILV reserves the right to cancel or rearrange classes for any compelling reason. If CILV cancels a course, students can transfer to a different course or receive a full refund. Approvals for transfers will be based on course and space availability. If the student requests a change of class after the second lesson, a $15 processing fee for change of registration will be applied. Lessons missed are not prorated or refunded and no makeup lesson is offered for classes missed by the student. The CILV will not refund any cancellation by student’s request. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.
