Italian short movie screenings “Audition”, “Te La Do Me La Merica” & “God is sleeping under a cherry tree”

Casa Italiana di Las Vegas, in collaboration with the Lecco Film Commission and the Windmill Library, presents a special screening of three short movies that will showcase the beauty of the Lake Como through the eyes of local filmmakers.
The first one, “Audition”, by Marco Ongania is filmed in the heart of Lecco and tells the story of a young girl and her love for music, donating the audience an unexpected finale.
The second one, “Te La Do Me La Merica” is the powerful story of a tragedy where six workers perished in a spinning mill in the city of Lecco, near Lake Como.
“God is sleeping under a cherry tree” is a short movie about a man who finds a smartphone and after trying to return it to his owner without any success, receives a phone call that urges him to look for money under a cherry tree.
The movies are in Italian with English subtitles. The screenings will be introduced by the Vice President of the Lecco Film Commission and followed by Q&A with the audience.
